The Chosen– see Jesus how others saw him
About 5 months ago, a lady I met through my social media networking, Mercedes Eckert, who I interviewed for this blog, mailed me a free copy of the movie The Chosen. The Chosen is the first-ever-multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus.
I have always longed to learn more about the history and lessons in the Bible, but let’s be honest. It is hard for us to understand! When I heard about the movie The Chosen I was intrigued. Created outside of the Hollywood system by VidAngel Studios, The Chosen allows us to see Him through the eyes of those who knew him.
Corona 2020
It is March 2020. The Easter season is quickly approaching. The World is dealing with a Corona Pandemic and people are scared. Those who know Jesus as their Lord and Savior are turning to him more than ever to calm their fears. Funny memes such as these have people finding comic relief among anxiety.
Be a Fisher of Men
Some people think this pandemic means the end is near and Jesus will return soon. While I am no biblical scholar or ordained minister of any kind I do think God uses the regular people to achieve his will. I do think I can hear when God speaks to me and nudges me to do things.
This blog was established for two reasons, one to help women find inspiration and realize their potential and two to provide me an income.
I provide an income for myself by sharing with my audience people and products that inspire me. I am a firm believer that God can use social media or whatever outlet he chooses to reach people in this day and time. This current pandemic is a prime example of this. Church buildings are closed, but that doesn’t mean we have to stop learning about Jesus. We are the Church. I wanted to use my blog audience to tell you about this incredible series, The Chosen.
I normally do not make time to watch much tv or movies, but since my family has been quarantined we have had some extra time on our hands. I wanted to share this TV series with you if your family is looking for something to watch that is more wholesome. I absolutely love how approachable they make the character of Jesus. If I had to choose my favorite episode it would probably be the one entitled “Jesus loves the children.” Child-like faith is so quickly forgotten with the doctrines and “rules” created by man.
Free downloads
As I mentioned I received this movie in the mail from a fairly complete stranger that I only knew online. I have recently learned that this movie is now available for free download thanks to donations made by individuals. I will be honest and tell you that I can’t wait for the second season to arrive but it can’t be produced without donations. Take a look at this trailer and then download the first season. If you are as moved by it as I am, help me spread the word and consider donating.
Enjoy this official trailer.
Please share it with your friends via Social Media!
